I’m alive, I promise

Hey everyone, if you’ve been watching the news lately, you’ll likely have seen the mess the snow storm caused in Texas. It’s been bad.

Thankfully my house was able to keep power, but we were doing everything we could to conserve energy and keep our little daughter busy. Both were an interesting task. I spent most of my days in front of our fireplace, trying to keep little one busy, when she’s used to being out of the house at least four days a week. Needless to say not a whole lot of writing got finished.

We were at my in-laws tending to animals and helping clean up the mess from broken pipes, and at my parents, helping with my mother’s parents who are in their 90s. It’s been a royal zoo here.

So, getting to the point of this…. right, I should have the next chapter up on AO3 in the next few days, as well as updates posted on Instagram of how things are progressing and a glimpse into the craziness that is my life as a mom, wife, and artist. I promise, it’s never dull.

I hope my fellow Texans are okay, as well as anyone else affected by this crazy snow storm!

Much love,

Hayden.

Quick life update

Okay, so let me start off by saying, yes I’m alive.

I’ve been super swamped at home taking care of my little one, recovering from a clumsy injury and buried in editing. Life is never dull around here, and as a wife, mom, and author normal life is…. well anything but normal 😂

But that being said, things should be getting back on track soon. Where I’m from we have no idea how to handle snow…. and guess who’s getting ice rain and snow? Texas. So that should be interesting. If anyone needs me, I’ll likely be at the bottom of a dog pile, that includes my little one, our poodle, lowchen and pitbull (who hates the cold) and quite possibly my cold natured husband. I may be doomed.

AO3 should be updated this weekend and hopefully I’ll have more time to post more regular updates soon.

Stay warm and safe y’all!

Hayden.
